Wednesday Family Night

Wednesdays,  7:00 p.m.

The Wednesday Family Night service offers something for the whole family from adult worship and bible teaching, to nursery care and the Children’s Christmas Musical practices. Singles and families alike are welcome to attend this mid-week service that has just started up again for the fall on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.  All kids grades K-6 are invited to participate in the Children’s Christmas Musical practices that meeting that night.

Love & Respect

Tuesdays,  7:00 p.m.

Love & Respect is a powerful small group marriage study, made to strengthen marriages by understanding the need for and motivation of love and respect in a healthy relationship.  This 14 week study has just begun and meets on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Sign up today in the Commons during service times and purchase a workbook. You can also sign up by contacting the church office.

Ladies’ Workout Class

Tuesdays,  7:00 p.m.

Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend the Ladies’ Workout Class on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Come to this fun and simple aerobic workout class with upbeat Christian music and instructor Katie Olson. Bring an exercise ball, small hand weights and your water bottle. Childcare is provided. Exercise at your own risk.

Ladies’ Bible Study

Tuesdays &  Thursdays

The Ladies’ Bible Study welcomes all women to come together for a refreshing evening (or morning) in worship and studying God’s Word with your sisters. The evening study meets on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., and the morning study meets on Thursdays at 9:00 a..m. Childcare is provided.

Newcomer’s Dinner

Sunday,  October 26,  6:00-7:30 p.m.

If you are new to Columbia River Foursquare Church, you are invited to the Newcomer’s Dinner on Sunday, October 26th. Meet at the home of Pastors Mike and Molly Cooke from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for this dinner held in your honor. R.S.V.P. and pick up directions to the Cooke’s at the Information Desk in the Commons during service times.

The Rock Community Worship Night

Wednesday,  October 29,  6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, October 29th, The Rock 7-12th grade youth will join together with the Scappoose Foursquare Youth for a night of worship. The theme is “Decades”; dress up from your favorite decade and meet at 6:30 p.m. at Scappoose Foursquare Church.  If you need a ride, contact Youth Director Miriam Rotter.

Harvest Party Crew

Friday,  October 31,  6:00-8:30 p.m.

The annual free “Harvest Party” serves nearly 1,000 people in our community each year! This year’s Harvest Party will be held on Friday, October 31st from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Pavilion. Fill out the insert in the Sunday morning bulletin, selecting the areas you would most enjoy serving in, and drop it in the offering bag, or sign up by contacting the church office. Also, candy donations are now being accepted during all service times in the orange tub in the Commons. All candy donations must be individually wrapped.

The Rock Autumn Adventure

Saturday,  November 1,  2:00 p.m.

The Rock invites all 7-12th grade students to an “Autumn Adventure”. Meet at the church on Saturday, November 1st at 2:00 p.m. to carpool to the Sauvie Island Corn Maze. Go through the maze, pick out a pumpkin, and then go to Pastor Tim and Nadine Rotter’s house in Scappoose for a pumpkin carving contest and dinner. The cost is $20.00 per person. Pick up a permission slip in the Commons during service times.

Veteran’s Slideshow

Sunday, November 9

On Sunday, November 9th we will honor individuals from the congregation that have served or are currently serving our country with the Veteran’s Slideshow. If you are a veteran, stop by the Information Desk in the Commons today to fill out a Veteran’s Information Card and return it with a picture (in digital format) to the church by November 5th. The Rock Winter Jam

Sunday,  November 16, 4:00 p.m.

On Sunday, November 16th, all 7-12th grade students are invited to The Rock Winter Jam. The annual Winter Jam concert is taking place at the Moda Center in Portland and features Christian artists Hillsong United, Disciple, Everfound, Trip Lee and more! Meet at the church at 4:00 p.m. to carpool. The cost is $20.00 per person. Pick up a permission slip at the Information Desk in the Commons during service times. “The Rock” youth service will not meet on this night; The Rock will resume the following Sunday, November 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at the church.

Couple's Retreat

November  21-22

Coming this November, the Marriage Retreat offers all married couples the opportunity to take a relaxing night away to refocus on each other and God’s design for a healthy marriage.  Mark your calendars for November 21-22nd. The retreat will take place at the beautiful Best Western in Astoria. The cost will be $140.00 by October 26th, or $150.00 after October 26th.  Price includes accommodations, the evening conference session, conference session materials, and complementary hot breakfast. Love Baskets

“Love Baskets” are complete Thanksgiving dinners that are donated, assembled and delivered by volunteers of Columbia River Foursquare Church to as many families in our community as we can find.
