20th Anniversary Potluck Celebration

In honor of Pastor Mike and Molly Cooke’s 20 years of faithful service as pastors of Columbia River Foursquare Church, everyone is welcome to the 20th Anniversary Potluck Celebration, Sunday, March 22nd. Directly after the second Sunday Morning Worship Service there will be a potluck in the Commons. Everyone is asked to bring a main dish, and a side or dessert. Come and bless our wonderful pastors for their love and dedication to the ministry of Columbia River Foursquare Church.

The Rock Service Break

Sunday,  March 22

The Rock 7-12th grade youth service will take a brief service break due to Spring Break and will not meet Sunday, March 22nd. The Rock will resume next Sunday, March 29th at 6:00 p.m. with a big “End of Spring Break” party. For details, contact Youth Director Miriam Rotter at miriam@crfoursquare.com.

Easter Musical

Sunday,  April 5, 9:00 & 11:00 a.m.

This Easter, invite friends and family to a special musical celebration entitled “Crown Him”, sharing the message of the resurrection of Jesus Christ through beautiful choir and solo vocal performances. “Crown Him” will have two performances on Easter Sunday, April 5th at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Childcare is provided for children ages 0-3rd grade; children 4th grade and up are invited to enjoy the musical with their families.  

Overcoming Stress, Anxiety and Depression

Tuesday,  April 7,  7:00 p.m.

 Overcoming Stress, Anxiety and Depression is a class offered to both men and women starting on Tuesday,  April 7th at 7:00 p.m. Gain the tools to eliminate chronic worry, panic and fear and finally get the help that you are looking for. This program, founded in 1993, is recognized as the most effective drug-free program for stress and anxiety.  Childcare is provided; sign up at the Information Desk in the Commons.

Summer Camp Fundraiser Rummage Sale

Saturday,  April 11,  9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

 If you have a child or teenager attending a NextGen summer camp this year, you are invited to be a part of the Summer Camp Fundraiser Rummage Sale on Saturday, April 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Commons. Fill up a table with your items to sell and raise funds for this year’s camp fees. Also, if you do not have a child attending camp but would like to participate in the rummage sale, you may rent a table for a small fee for the sale of your items. Sign up in the Commons.

The Rock Beach Trip

Saturday,  April 18

On Saturday, April 18th The Rock youth ministry welcomes all 7-12th grade students to spend a fun day at the beach on The Rock Beach Trip. Meet at the church at 7:00 a.m. to travel to the coast for a beach adventure! The cost will be $20.00, plus extra money for one meal. They will return to the church by 8:00 p.m. Students must sign up in advance; stop by the Information Desk in the Commons to sign up.

Ladies’ Retreat

April 24-26

 It’s that time of year again ladies! Start planning now to attend the annual spring Ladies’ Retreat, April 24-26th at the beautiful Salishan Lodge in Lincoln City. All women are invited to this retreat themed “W.I.N.G.S.: Women Investing in the Next Generation of Sisters”. Enjoy a relaxing getaway with your girlfriends, and draw closer to Christ through empowering bible teaching and worship. Visit the Ladies’ Retreat Registration Table in the Commons to sign up!

Project Princess: Prom

Friday,  May 1,  4:00 p.m.

 Coming this May, the 2nd annual Project Princess: Prom outreach event will take place. From now until May 1st, The Rock 7-12th grade NextGen youth ministry will be collecting donations of new or gently used prom dresses at the church during all service times and during office hours. The dresses will then be given away on Friday, May 1st at 4:00 p.m.; the day local girls are invited to pick out a prom dress at the church for free! Donation slips for tax deductibility are available. For details, or to volunteer on the dress giveaway day, contact Youth Director Miriam Rotter.

The Rock Parent Email Registration

If you are the parent of a 7-12th grade student, register your email address today for The Rock Youth Ministry parent contact list. Receive up-to-date information on the latest events and ministry opportunities for your child offered at The Rock.  Also, if you have a child entering the 7th grade in the fall of 2015, register your email address now as 7th grade students are welcomed in to The Rock this June. You can register your address also by sending an email to Youth Director Miriam Rotter with your child's name and grade.

Save the Date: NextGen Summer Camps

This summer, the Foursquare District NextGen Summer Camps will be held at Canby Grove Christian Center in Canby. NextGen Camps invite all kids and youth entering 3-12th grade to come spend the best week of their summer at camp! The dates for this year’s camps are: High School Camp, July 9-13th, Middle School Camp July 13-17th, and Kid’s Camp July 20-23rd. Watch the bulletin for upcoming camp fundraiser opportunities.
