The Rock Human Video Practice

The Rock Youth Ministry invites all 7-12th grade students to the Human Video Practice on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. A human video is a skit acted out to music without speaking parts. Contact Youth Director Miriam Rotter with any questions.

The Rock Small Groups

The Rock 7-12th grade ministry invites all students to The Rock Small Groups. These once-a-month small groups meet again on Wednesday, December 7th at 7:00 p.m. after worship during the Wednesday Family Night Service. Contact Youth Director Miriam Rotter.
Prime Timer’s Christmas Party
Friday, December 9, 6:00 p.m.
The annual Prime Timer’s Christmas Party is coming up on Friday, December 9th at 6:00 p.m. and welcomes everyone 55+ to come celebrate Christmas together with friends. This year’s party will include a delicious catered dinner, entertainment, and some fun “reindeer games”. Please sign up today in the Commons and pay $14.95 for the cost of the dinner. Sunday, December 11
The annual community outreach event “Toy-n-Joy” has begun! Pick up a tag from the Toy-n-Joy Tree in the Commons next to the Information Desk today and return it by Sunday, December 11th attached to an unwrapped gift for a teen girl or boy. The Columbia River Fire and Rescue “Toy-n-Joy” collects and distributes toys each year to children in our community that would otherwise be unable to celebrate the holidays with a Christmas gift.
Ladies’ Christmas Party & Cookie Exchange
Friday, December 16, 7:00 p.m.
The Ladies’ Christmas Party and Cookie Exchange welcomes all women to a relaxing evening full of Christmas cheer on Friday, December 16th. Meet at the church at 7:00 p.m. to worship and sing carols, enjoy a light buffet, and assemble “Blessing Bags” for the Women’s Shelter. Women with last names A-L are asked to bring appetizers, and women with last names M-Z are asked to bring desserts. To participate in the optional cookie exchange, bring three dozen homemade cookies in a container large enough to take home an assortment of cookies. To help with the “Blessing Bags” bring new “pamper” items such as soaps, lotions, gloves, socks, etc.

Children’s Christmas Musical

The Children’s Christmas Musical “An Out-of-the-Box Christmas” will have two performances on Sunday, December 18tht at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Invite friends and family to this musical, and see the story of Christmas through the eyes of a child.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
Saturday, December 24, 5:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.
This Christmas Eve the annual Candlelight Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 24th. Come for an evening of carols by candlelight, and time with family and friends to focus on the meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.
2016 Charitable Contributions
Any charitable contributions that you would like to have attributed to the 2016 tax year need to be post marked or hand delivered to the church office by December 31st, 2016. To ensure the deductibility of your contributions, do not file your 2016 tax return until you have received a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church office.
